There was an ice storm earlier in the week. Well, not exactly an ice storm. It was cold. It snowed. Then it started to rain. It was warming up slowly, but the rain still froze on each surface it touched.
I drove home from Montreal yesterday.
Some more driving this week. Seems I haven’t stayed in one place in a long time. This week it was driving to London.
I’ve been up at dawn each day this month. Well, actually before dawn. Enough before dawn to watch the sky go from night blackness through that dim blue into a brief riot of colour as the sun launches into day.

I went out walking today to get shots of the snow and who should I find but friend Jeff Macklin spending his birthday shoveling out his driveway.
Hurricane Sandy. Devastating in Cuba and Haiti and destructive across the eastern American seaboard. Here in Peterborough we had some strong winds and days and days of rain.
